Cutting edge automated mercury sampling console

Apex Instruments is proud to announce the launch of the STM6000 Automated Mercury Sampling Console. This cutting-edge console is designed to streamline and optimise mercury sampling in industrial applications. By automating critical processes such as data acquisition, sample flow adjustments, leak checks, and calibrations, the STM-6000 ensures precise, efficient, and fully compliant sampling in line with EPA PS 12B and Method 30B standards.

The STM-6000 replaces Apex’s first-generation workhorse, the XC-6000. In fact, the new STM-6000 is designed to be a direct, plug-and-play replacement for current owners. Apex offers optional installation and service contracts to simplify operation and ownership.
The STM-6000 stands apart from competing products with its seamless integration of automation, user-friendly software, and real-time data displays. Tailored to meet the unique needs of the stack tester, the system allows operators to focus on results, not manual operations. With an intuitive interface, the STM-6000 simplifies complex workflows and offers enhanced accuracy and reliability in environmental monitoring.

The STM-6000 stands out through a range of key differentiators that make it a robust and reliable solution for sampling and data management. One of its primary advantages is comprehensive automation, which enables the system to handle essential tasks such as sample flow adjustments, leak checks, temperature control, and calibration automatically. This reduces human error and ensures consistent compliance with stringent regulatory standards.

Data acquisition and transfer are seamless, with the STM-6000 capturing data efficiently and transferring it to a Windows-based PC via Ethernet. Its real-time data display, coupled with remote monitoring capabilities through Modbus connectivity, allows for continuous oversight and immediate access to critical information from virtually any location.

The system is also highly customisable and flexible in its configuration. It can be tailored to meet various operational requirements, offering installation options such as a standard 19-inch rack mount, climate-controlled or weatherproof cabinet enclosures, and wall-mounted setups. This adaptability makes it suitable for diverse environments.

Maintenance and serviceability have been prioritized in the STM-6000’s design. Internal components are easily accessible, and the inclusion of drawer slides facilitates convenient field maintenance, helping to minimise downtime.

Performance is enhanced by high-quality sampling components, including a positive displacement dry gas meter, double-headed sample pumps, stainless steel sample manifolds, and mass flow sensors. These features work together to ensure precise and dependable sample extraction. Additionally, a maintenance-free brushless motor and an operational lifespan rated at 10,000 hours (MTBF) underline the system’s durability.

Security is another core feature of the STM-6000, offering optional 256-bit encryption for data storage. This ensures that sensitive sampling data remains protected against unauthorized access.

Finally, the system includes advanced real-time monitoring and remote access capabilities. With Ethernet, USB, and optional TCP/IP Modbus connectivity, users can monitor and control the STM-6000 remotely, increasing operational flexibility and reducing the need for constant on-site supervision.

With its unrivalled combination of automation, precision, and ease of use, the STM-6000, represents the future of automated environmental monitoring, offering industries greater accuracy, reduced operational complexity, and enhanced compliance.
