Resulting almost exclusively from customer requests for products offering versatility and field worthiness, YSI (USA) announces the launch of its new YSI Pro20 handheld dissolved oxygen instrument. The Pro20 is designed to be used in the lab or the field and is easily changed from one to the other by simply switching cables. The feature-packed Pro20 has a One Touch Cal feature to calibrate with the press of a button, user-replaceable sensors and cables, and a backlit graphic display. The Pro20 accommodates any Pro Series DO probe and cable combination for lab or field -- enabling you to choose what you want. Select a truly rugged field cable with a polarographic or galvanic sensor or a self-stirring BOD probe for the lab.
Rugged, military spec connectors add to the field-worthiness of the Pro20.
While there are numerous applications for the Pro20 instrument, there is particular interest in the Aquaculture, Surface Water, and Wastewater markets due to the product’s extensive feature set for a handheld DO instrument. The YSI Pro20 instrument includes: A compact handheld that offers multiple, compatible options in probes, cable lengths, and accessories. Users can instantly change probes and cables, leaving them to determine what they want in regards to sensor choices and cable lengths.
Gayle Rominger, YSI senior vice president, sales and marketing, states “The features and extra versatility are exciting for customers, but we think the big story here is that we’re listening to our customers on a whole new level, and responding to their needs. The Pro Series line of instruments, including the Pro20, represents our product-development model where the customer is at the forefront of our decision-making process.”
