Aquametrix (USA) have been manufacturing probes and controllers mainly for the industrial wastewater market for over 50 years. In those 5 decades the company has had 3 owners, with its latest, Water Analytics have taken over manufacture in 2010 in Andover, Massachusetts.
The centerpiece of the product line is the differential probe. Unlike the more common combination probe, the differential probe measures pH (or ORP) using two separate measuring circuits—one for a reference solution and the other in the process. An internal amplifier converts the high impedance signal from the difference in the voltage to a lower impedance signal (hence “differential”). The result is a higher signal-to-noise, greater stability, longer cable lengths and vastly longer lifetime. This is why Aquametrix differential probes are used in environments where other sensors typically do not last long.
Shown in the picture is the P60C8 1½” fixed insertion probe, Aquametrix's newest P60C5 1” fixed insertion probe, an AS series conductivity probe and the Shark multi-parameter controller. The P60C5 has the largest electrode of any 1” differential probe on the market for higher signal-to-noise and faster response. The Shark is one of the few analysers that can accept one of 4 sensors (pH, ORP, conductivity and flow) with a simple menu change.
The Aquametrix product line also includes instrumentation for dissolved oxygen, chlorine, turbidity, level and flow.
