Achilles operates the UVDB supplier management service on behalf of all the major UK utilities organisations, offering a valuable source of current and potential suppliers through a series of inter-related services to improve efficiency of the procurement cycle, whilst promoting health & safety, environmental management and wider corporate responsibility.

The service offered by Achilles involves selecting potential suppliers through a pre-qualifying, evaluation and performance monitoring system. The company’s business model is based upon creating communities of organisations with a common supply chain.

Trolex have been Achilles-approved as a trusted supplier of sensors and sensing systems for the industry by demonstrating the company’s capability for contracts with emphasis on health and safety, environment and high quality systems.
