New Methods for Extraction of Oil and Grease from Water Samples
Jun 08 2010
Dionex (USA) announces new methods for the extraction of oil and grease from water samples using the Dionex AutoTrace® 280 system in disk and cartridge configurations. Liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) and solid-phase extraction (SPE) are proven techniques that meet the requirements of EPA 1664A. Compared to LLE, SPE is more reliable, less labor-intensive, and
uses less solvent. The AutoTrace 280 SPE instrument provides an automated, solid-phase extraction solution that replaces traditional liquid-liquid extraction and meets the requirement of EPA 1664, Revision A. The AutoTrace 280 SPE instrument is available in both disk and cartridge configurations to suit the needs of every laboratory.
Application Note 817: EPA Method 1664A–Extraction of Oil and Grease from Water Samples Using AutoTrace 280 Solid-Phase Extraction Cartridge Configuration demonstrates solid-phase extraction (SPE) in cartridge configuration to extract oil and grease from water samples in accordance with the EPA Method 1664, Revision A. Application Note 818: EPA Method 1664A–Extraction of Oil and Grease from Water Samples Using AutoTrace 280 Solid-Phase Extraction Disk Configuration demonstrates solid-phase extraction (SPE) in disk configuration to extract oil and grease from water samples in accordance with the EPA Method 1664, Revision A.
