Water/wastewater
Storm overflows are no longer a secret to the public and Strathkelvin Instruments understands that heavy rain cannot be stopped, so overflow valves must be triggered.
In response they have created an instrument to measure exactly what’s being put back into the waters.
By measuring the storm overflow, this allows for water treatment companies to prove compliance with legislation. It means they can prove that what is going back into rivers is in fact predominantly rainwater and not waste.
The CSO instrument allows real time measuring of dissolved oxygen, turbidity, pH, ammonium, potassium or nitrate, temperature, and many more.
The results are stored and can be accessed remotely and securely through the cloud. The instrument is a self-contained unit that’s connected by either solar-power or mains. Solar power connection allows the CSO Measuring System to be situated almost anywhere. Minimal maintenance is required, with repairs and regular refurbishments being carried out by the team.
