Water/Wastewater
Compact Transmitter for a Range of Wastewater Applications
May 12 2014
The new NivuFlow 750, from Nivus (Germany) combines many functions and high flexibility that have been included so far in several and separate devices. The intuitive operation enables easy handling of extensive measurement points.
The connecting options using plug-in terminals on the transmitter front ensure quick and reliable wiring as well as to quickly exchange the transmitter without tools. The modern menu-based operation with rotary-push button and easy-to-read colour display allows quick and easy commissioning of the measurement system on site. Additional input devices or software are not required.
New numeric discharge models saved in the transmitter’s internal memory allow more accurate and reliable determination of flow rates even under difficult measurement conditions. Based on the ultrasonic cross correlation method the system detects single velocities at different levels of the flow profile where the real 3D flow profile is computed from. Several factors having an influence such as channel shape, discharge behaviour and wall roughness are considered accordingly while calculating the flow.
NivuFlow 750 features quickest signal evaluation algorithms, Modbus TCP as well as online connection via Internet. For flow velocity measurement in levels starting at 3 cm up to some meters in channels and pipes of various shapes and dimensions there is a wide selection of application-specific sensor available.
NivuFlow750 provides options for remote maintenance, remote diagnostics and for flexible integration into process control systems and telecontrol networks. Thanks to the integrated web server NivuFlow 750 there is an own web site available via TCP/IP. This allows to connect the unit to the worldwide Internet as well as to internal networks.
NivuFlow 750 will be available from August 2014.
