The samples of potable water to be used for microbiological testing need to be added of sodium thiosulfate to neutralise chlorine.

The bag “Tiosol Stand-Up” from International PBI (Italy) has been developed to replace the traditional fragile glass bottles used on the field to collect water and wastewater samples.

Each plastic bag contains the amount of sodium thiosulfate suitable for a sample volume of 500 ml of water. Welded on 3 sides, the bottom fashioned allows the bag, once filled, to stand alone facilitating sample collection and transport.

The “Tiosol Stand-Up” high-strength and high transparency bag is sterile, resistant to 82°C, with a wire closure and writing strip.
