ITT Water &
Wastewater has announced that it will provide water treatment systems at 18 facilities belonging to Dwr Cymru Welsh Water.
In total, the company will be supplying 37 of its Wedeco UV systems as part of a contract with Black & Veatch, Welsh Water's major contractor.
Designed with the intention of preventing viable cryptosporidium oocysts entering drinking water, the machinery will be installed by the summer.
Commenting on the project, Debbie McQuillan of Black & Veatch praised ITT Water &
Wastewater's Wedeco team for its flexibility and support.
"This development involved 18 schemes with a wide scale of transmittances and Wedeco's solution met those needs perfectly. We look forward to a successful long-term partnership with Wedeco," she said.
As well as Wedeco, ITT Water &
Wastewater offers the Flygt, Sanitaire and Leopold products to the water transport and treatment sector.
