Water quality monitoring
Ensuring that drinking water, groundwater, and wastewater stay free of harmful volatile compounds is a never-ending analytical challenge. The latest generation of online water analysis systems from meta Messtechnische Systeme provides a versatile and automated solution.
By integrating the meta-GC-PID/TID with the meta WSS3 water sampling system, laboratories and monitoring stations can continuously analyse volatile halogenated hydrocarbons (LHKW) and aromatic compounds, such as BTEX, directly from liquid samples. Using the headspace technique, volatile substances are transferred from the water sample into the gas phase and measured by a connected gas chromatograph according to DIN 38413-2 and DIN 38409-9.
Available in benchtop, rack-mounted, or cabinet-mounted options, the meta WSS3 system delivers reliable and consistent results for various applications, including drinking water monitoring, groundwater cleanup, discharger regulation at wastewater treatment facilities, and general effluent surveillance.
With automated sampling and reliable detection, the system helps environmental analysts maintain water quality without needing constant manual work, offering a practical advance in ongoing pollutant monitoring.
