New biocompatible potentiometric pH sensor for accurate analysis in a wide range of applications

28 Oct, 2024

After extensive development in its R&D laboratory, Linxens has launched a pH sensor on a flexible substrate that is adapted to the specific needs of its customers, while offering an economical and efficient alternative to conventional devices.

Accurate pH measurements enable us to monitor a wide range of different applications ranging from ensuring the quality and safety of food and beverages to environmental monitoring of water and soil - all of which can be analysed with a simple pH measurement. Accurate pH data is crucial in a wide variety of applications to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of products and processes. Traditionally, pH measurements were only performed by using unreliable and inconstant pH strips, or by using electrodes in a laboratory with a pH meter or photometer – which also has significant limitations.

Linxens’ unique and patented pH sensor provides a reliable, versatile and cost-effective solution. This potentiometric sensor utilises carbon nanotubes and a conductive polymer. It remains highly effective, even in highly oxidising environments and can collect and analyse pH in the harshest environmental conditions.

Catheline Ramsamy, Ph. D, Sales Manager EMEA at Linxens Healthcare commented, "Thanks to its expertise in the design and manufacture of electronic solutions, Linxens is able to offer high-quality products that meet the needs of its customers. The pH sensor is an example of Linxens' commitment to innovate and provide cutting-edge solutions to meet current and future challenges."
