City Technology (UK), the largest gas sensor manufacturer, will be exhibiting two new products and a new smart sensing concept on Stand A150 at Miconex 2012. Held at the World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, China from 21 - 24 August 2012, Miconex is the leading show serving the Chinese and Far East markets, with more than 400 international exhibitors and 30,000 visitors.

City will be featuring the new lead free 4OXeco oxygen sensor developed to improve the operational life, accuracy and resistance to cross-contamination in combustion gas analysis. The second product being showcased is the 4CM carbon monoxide sensor developed for reliable operation in the arduous conditions found in Chinese deep coalmines. It responds 12% faster to CO hazards and recovers in less than half the time of the industry average, improving protection for workers.

Wilson Tan, City Technology’s regional business leader in Asia Pacific, is using Miconex to pre-launch a new smart sensing concept. Wilson commented, “We are in the process of developing new smart sensing technology which will reduce time to market and development costs for instrument manufacturers by providing an intelligent interface to our sensors. This, and the new 4OXeco, are both further examples of developments that make a positive contribution to the preservation of life in challenging environments.”
