Visitors will see, for the first time at the ADBA show, the new Biogas 5000 portable biogas analyser from Geotech (UK) which is quick and easy to use. Accurate to +/-0.5% for methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2), readings are repeatable for identification of changes in gas mix. Raw hydrogen sulphide (H2S) can be measured up to 10,000 ppm with the same sensor as low-H2S de-sulphurised biogas.

The user-installed Geotech GA3000 fixed biogas analyser is reliable and well-supported. UK installations include AD research facilities, waste water treatment, food and farm waste treatment. Standard gases are CH4, CO2 and oxygen (O2), with optional H2S monitoring offered for raw and processed biogas. Geotech has 200 fixed biogas analysis systems in use worldwide, with over 99% reported up time. Vital for CHP restarting and protection against sudden gas level changes, biogas monitoring equipment can pay back in days.

Anaerobic digester (AD) plant biogas leaks can be easily detected with the Geotech TDL-500 laser gas leak detector, which has almost instant sensitivity to CH4 at 1 ppm.
