Stonegate Instruments (UK) has introduced a new Fixed Gas Sensor intended for use in VRV air conditioning systems and refrigeration
compressor packs.
The FGS1000 is a stand-alone gas sensor and alarm which detects a wide range of popular refrigerant gases including CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs.
In order to comply with the general requirements of the Health & Safety
Executive`s Occupational Exposure Limits, the sensitivity control of the new sensor is calibrated with 1000ppm gas to air mixture, using the customer specified gas.
The unit has a built in output relay which has volt free double pole changeover contacts, so that one pole can be used to signal a remote alarm or Building Management System and the other pole can be used to shut down the pack or air conditioning unit.
The FGS1000 uses LED indication, with a 95db Sounder and has been built with four conduit entry points and ventilation slots at the top and bottom. The unit is easy to install and will fit most kinds of refrigeration areas where gases need to be quickly and easily
detected.
