Every year the SENSOR+TEST bestows Press Awards for outstanding press and PR work in preparation of the fair as well as for a particularly attractive trade-fair presentation in the eyes of the press. The journalists at the fair voted again this year for two of the 548 exhibitors.

The award for the “Best Press and PR Work” was presented to JUMO GmbH & Co. KG (Fulda). Pleased with the honour, Michael Brosig, head of JUMO’s press office, said, “Of course we were quite happy to receive the award. It’s also a distinction for the entire enterprise. Ultimately, PR work can only be as good as the enterprise behind it. The climate of open and innovative communication at JUMO and the short decision-making channels enable PR officers and journalists to provide a good service.”

In the category “Best Trade-Fair Presentation”, the award went to the community stand of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. “The SENSOR+TEST has been an important trade fair for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft,” stated Welf Zöller, from Fraunhofer’s Strategic Communications, who coordinated the trade-fair presence. “This year, nine of our institutes presented their exponents in the area of sensors and intelligent sensor systems at the community stand. To be distinguished by trade journalists with the “Best Trade-Fair Presentation” was a great satisfaction, because it was the result of a consistent implementation of an innovative concept. The key to success, it seems, is not only an attractive trade-fair stand, but also competence, technology, and communication. That is what the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft conveys by way of informative product presentations, press releases, brochures, flyers, and a press tour as well as novelties from applied research and development of technologies, sensors, and smart measuring technology.”

Holger Bödeker, managing director of the organising AMA Service GmbH, emphasised the significance of the press awards, saying, “Successful exhibitors prepare their trade-fair presence thoroughly and work closely with the trade press. The many journalists here honored this commitment with their votes. I congratulate both recipients of the awards and hope that many exhibitors will follow their example. I was particularly pleased to see that one of our big community stands was distinguished. These stands are a distinctive trademark of the SENSOR+TEST, superbly reflecting the broad spectrum of topics at this fair.”

The next SENSOR+TEST is to be held from the 10th to the 12th of May, 2016, as always at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center.
