OTT Hydrometry will run a workshop at WWEM 2008 entitled "The Developing
Role of Wireless Communications for the Transmission of Environmental Data".
The presentation will feature some of the network systems that the company has installed, and many of the environmental monitors that are employed in these systems will be on display at the company`s exhibition stand (No. 42).
These will include the latest in the Hydrolab water quality monitoring
instruments, a comprehensive selection of level sensors including new radar and bubbler technologies, the new Pluvio2 real-time precipitation monitor and the latest laser optical disdrometer.
Communication technology is vitally important in environmental monitoring, particularly in remote locations, and OTT systems employ the most appropriate methodology for each application, including satellite telemetry, GPRS, SMS, PSTN or local collection via cable or
infrared.
