New Analyser for the Environmental Market

Labmedics Limited (UK) manufacturer of fully automated, discrete photometric analysis for inorganic analytes, has launched the Aquakem 600 Prime analyser, the latest addition to the Aquakem range of products. Incorporating fluidic, mechanical and electronic technology the range has been specifically developed for the precise analysis of water and environmental samples.

With its built-in PC and touch screen Aquakem 600 offers analytical rates of up to 600 tests per hour and is suitable for the higher throughput laboratory.

The compact Aquakem now comprises three models. The 200 achieves analytical rates of up to 180 tests per hour and the 250 up to 250 tests an hour. Types of matrices analysed include clean water, wastewater and soil/sludge digests. Nutrient analysis includes ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, TON, chloride and sulphate. An added option is a cadmium reduction module for nitrate analysis.

Responding to customer requirements the random access analysers have automatic start-up and shut down protocols for true ‘walk away’ analysis. No reagent priming is required, enabling results from the first sample to be available within minutes of starting the analysis.

Offering the ultimate in performance Aquakem has been designed for minimum reagent consumption and low operating costs. The unique low volume multicell cuvette provides true discrete analysis virtually eliminating carryover. Typical total reaction volumes of between 100ul and 200ul per test mean extremely low reagent costs.
