New generation of compact and powerful water quality meters
Aug 06 2019
HORIBA Instruments have just launched their new LAQUA 200 series of handheld meters. The fifth generation of HORIBA LAQUA 210/220 handheld meters have been completely redesigned with several improvements and enhancements making it an even more compact yet powerful handheld meter.
The external housing is manufactured by a double injection moulding process, integrating two different materials into one. The external long lasting thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) offers superior grip, is impact resistant, able to withstand high temperatures and dirt or scratches are easy to wipe away. Moreover, it is environmentally friendly as it is recyclable. A meter stand is now integrated at the back and the electrodes can be attached to the sides of the meter.
All LAQUA 200 series meters feature a new LCD with bright, white LED backlighting that automatically switches on whenever the meter is being used.
The smiley face symbol icon is the annunciator used as the stability indicator which gives a quick and easy visual to indicate stable, measured readings. Electrode condition status is also displayed clearly on the screen and updated after each calibration which a useful tool to plan for replacing the aged sensor.
The 220 series, with up to 1,000 data memory, incorporates a real time clock for date/time stamping of both calibration and the data stored in memory. Both calibration and memory-data can be exported to a printer or PC.
