Grimm Aerosol UK Ltd is launching the new Grimm Nanocheck. This device attaches to the existing and well known Grimm Aerosol Spectrometer to provide a portable battery operated system providing particle counts in the nanosize region.

The Grimm Aerosol Spectrometer already provides counts in the range 0.25 microns to 32 microns in 31 size channels. However, when attached to the Nanocheck a further channel shows counts in the 30nm to 300nm size region. Also, the mean particle diameter of the nanoparticles is reported.

Handling and production of nanoparticles will increase the exposure and risk in workplace areas. Different activities like cooking, smoking, fires, traffic and laser printers already increase the amount of nanoparticles in the

environment. The Grimm Nanocheck in combination with the Grimm Aerosol Spectrometer provides a small, easy to use, battery operated, fast solution for detection of nanoparticles.

The Grimm Nanocheck is based on a combination of a unipolar diffusion charger, a time multiplexed electrical conductivity measurement and an aerosol faraday cup electrometer.

The Nanocheck can be purchased separately as an accessory for existing users of the Grimm Spectrometer or together as a new

complete system. For further information please contact UK Sales Manager Chris Tyrrell [email protected] Tel: 01604-582040.
