Quantitech, the specialist environmental instrumentation company, based in Milton Keynes, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
To mark the event, Quantitech is launching a new website during
September that will provide customers with far greater detail on the technologies that apply to different environmental monitoring applications and provide instrumentation users with the ability to
subscribe to regular news updates on environmental instrumentation.
Quantitech`s two founding Directors, Keith Golding (MD) and Jim Monaghan
(Technical Director) still run the company today in conjunction with Dominic Duggan (Sales Director) who spent 10 years with the company from 1985 and rejoined 4 years ago.
The company was originally established to market the Foxboro range of gas detection equipment, but since that time the opportunities for environmental monitoring instruments have grown enormously and Quantitech has also become one of the UK`s leading suppliers of ambient and emissions monitoring equipment.
In the 1980s the Foxboro instruments led the market for gas detection in
applications such as leak detection and occupational exposure. Since that time Quantitech has introduced further leading gas detection technologies to the UK and Ireland markets from manufacturers such as Horiba, Sick, Wilks, H2scan and Gasmet.
Quantitech has also added laboratory environmental analysis to its portfolio through the launch of the Teledyne Leeman Labs range of atomic
spectrometers.
As an independent privately owned and managed company, Quantitech has
always placed a high level of importance on Service and Technical Support. This is exemplified by the company`s investment in technical staff – recent recruits include two PhD qualified experts in environmental monitoring, Dr Andrew Hobson and Dr Gareth Pearson.
Looking forward, Dominic Duggan says, "Quantitech`s longevity is based on the company`s focus on the sale and service of leading edge environmental instrumentation; over our 25 year history we are
proud to have launched many instruments that have become market leaders and by continuing to focus on our core areas of expertise, we are looking forward to another successful 25 years!"
