Hendrik Eijkelkamp set up shop as a self-employed blacksmith in Lathum in 1911. One hundred years and three generations later, the smithy has expanded to become the Eijkelkamp Earth Sampling Group (Netherlands), a globally leading group of companies providing products and services for environmental, soil and water research.
