Precellys®24 is a grinder with bead-beating technology from Bertin Technologies (France). It allows homogenization of a large range of biological samples fromsoft to hard and even elastic, simply by varying the bead type and speed. A figure 8 motion rapidly gyrates the beads (ceramic, glass or metal beads) to grind from 1 to 24 samples in individual sealed tubes. This is to ensure that no cross contamination occurs between the tests.
The kit SK38 is a new Precellys kit reference containing a mixture of different beads (glass and ceramic). The reference SK38 is specially d esign for easy and efficient DNA/RNA extraction from environmental samples.
Compared to other sample preparation methods, the reference SK38 offers
a outstanding homogenization efficiency, particularly for: Lysis of gram positive cells, bacteria, spores; Lysis organic debris directly from soil; Homogenization/grinding of plant material (up to 0,5g). The Precellys®24 and the SK38 Kit are the ideal combo for environmental sample preparation offering recovery, high yield and reproducibility in your analysis.
