Searching for suitable certified reference materials has never been easier with this ingenious tool provided by FluXana, the specialist XRF support company from Bedburg-Hau, Germany. FluXana realised that apart from the optimisation of sample preparation routines, the other major challenge facing the XRF spectroscopist is finding a suitable array of matrix matched reference materials from the thousands currently available on the market. XRF scientists were left with the unenviable task of looking at page after page and through catalogue after catalogue in their quest to find the most suitable standards with which to calibrate their instruments.
Now, with the availability of FLUXearch, the user can search on-line, by matrix type, and can even fine tune the search by listing individual elements and minimum/maximum elemental concentrations. A list of standards meeting the user’s criteria is then displayed, and a request for quotation can then be submitted.
FLUXearch is totally free to use with no obligation to purchase. On-line help is available to assist with searches from the log-in page. More information on this and FluXana’s range of XRF support products can be obtained from their distributors Analysco Ltd (UK).
