Former Polychromix CEO to Lead Spectro, Inc.

Spectro, Inc. (USA), a provider of instrumentation and software for machine condition monitoring and preventive maintenance that was acquired by SFW Capital Partners in 2011, announces the appointment of Brian Mitchell as President and CEO. Mr. Mitchell is a 30-year veteran in the optical instrumentation industry.

Prior to joining Spectro, Inc., Mr. Mitchell served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Polychromix, a developer and manufacturer of material analysis and chemical sensing products. Mr. Mitchell played a key role in the growth and development of Polychromix, which was successfully sold to Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2010. Prior to Polychromix, Mr. Mitchell served Aeroflex Incorporated as Executive Vice President and COO of the Microelectronic Solutions Group.
