Latest version of Dust Detective Enclosure improves monitoring for site operations

Casella has launched an improved version of its Dust Detective Enclosure. The ideal survey tool for efficient area monitoring, Casella’s Dust Detective Enclosure is a game changer in short-term boundary monitoring, on the market since November 2018.

In 2017-18, there were 12,000 lung disease deaths in the UK due to exposures of air hazards and dust at work, and a further 20,000 estimated new cases of occupational breathing problems reported. Protecting the health, safety and welfare of their workforce is the responsibility of the employer, who has an obligation by law to assess the level of risk in the workplace and take the reasonable steps to eliminate apparent risks and put in place appropriate control measures. This includes controlling the risks that arise from work activities, including the creation of dust and fumes. Improvements have been made to the enclosure by using quick release clips around the measurement probe, allowing fast setup times. The portable enclosure will also save effort as the internal layout has been improved to allow everything to be contained neatly inside, including calibration devices.
