Ashtead Technology has announced details of the next air quality open day. Organised in collaboration with TSI, the event will take place on Wednesday 24th January 2018 at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham.

“This will be the latest in a series of hugely popular workshops,” says Ashtead’s Rebecca Stanley. “The event is entirely free of charge and previous events have always been over-subscribed, so we always urge people to book early because places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.”

In addition to presentations from Ashtead Technology and TSI on the latest technologies and regulations relating to the measurement of particulate matter, speakers from the Health & Safety Laboratory and the Institute of Occupational Medicine will provide help and advice on the management of dust and aerosols in the workplace. The day will also include practical sessions in which attendees will have the opportunity to set up and run the latest particulate monitoring instruments.

Running from 09:45 to15:30 with complimentary lunch and refreshments, the open day will be of enormous value to anyone looking to gain a better understanding of air quality management in the workplace. For experienced professionals and consultants, it will provide a useful update on the latest techniques, technologies and regulations.

Rebecca says: “Previous workshops were hosted in the south of the UK, so the Rotherham location will be more convenient for those located in the north. Also, the Magna facility is a great location for a scientific workshop – as a former steelworks, it includes four pavilions focusing on Air, Earth, Fire and Water, providing an insight into the region’s steelmaking heritage.”
