VEGA Grieshaber is a TOP innovator in 2018

For the 25th time, The TOP 100 competition has selected the most innovative German SMEs. This year, VEGA Grieshaber KG is a leading innovator. This was the result of a verdict made by the scientific director of TOP 100, Professor Dr. Nikolaus Franke. As mentor of TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar honoured the company from Schiltach together with Franke and compamedia on June 29, 2018 at the award ceremony in Ludwigsburg within the framework of the 5th German SME Summit . In the independent selection process, the company, with its 610 employees, particularly shone in the categories "Innovation Climate" and "Innovation-Promoting Top Management".

Driving forward these developments is a top priority for the third-generation family business with 610 employees. Managing director Isabel Grieshaber ensures the right framework conditions in the innovation work and the appropriate team mix. What is particularly important to her is that all managers are socially competent, devote enough time, space and confidence to new ideas in their departments, and that they examine these ideas without bias. "Thinking outside the box" is the initiative for finding new ideas, in which the employees get complete freedom to look around their environment and talk about innovations. The resulting development processes are deliberately not pressed into the corset of a classical organisational structure in this firm, but are driven forward in interdisciplinary and often also intercultural teams by the person(s) who had the idea. This is a good system, because instead of using statistics and often unrealistic project plans, it relies on the many years of experience, self-motivation and high competence of qualified idea providers.
