Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced the completion of a new building no. 1 at Shingai Factory to increase the manufacturing capacity of opto-semiconductor devices. The new building will be dedicated to the assembly and inspection in the manufacturing process. With its completion, the new building will enable the company to satisfy the growing demand for photo sensors and light emitters in automotive, x-ray non-destructive inspection systems, industrial equipment and other applications.

A completion ceremony will be held on the site of the new building on March 30, 2017. Operations are scheduled to begin in May 2017.
