AP2E, the developer and manufacturer of industrial gas analysis systems, based in Aix en Provence, in France, has become part of the DURAG Group. The acquisition, through DURAG Holding AG, came about in April. With this transaction, DURAG has expanded its portfolio as internationally renowned providers of ambient air and emission monitoring systems for the important gas analysis sector. AP2E,who were established in 2006, will also benefit from becoming part of DURAG and can continue to grow its business, whilst expanding its product range even further.

“With AP2E joining the DURAG Group, both parties will strengthen their position in the industry”, explains Frank-Uwe Schulz, CEO of DURAG Holding AG. “We will benefit from the comprehensive know-how of the AP2E team and will expand the environmental sensor technology business area with this acquisition. AP2E will continue to operate from its own premises and will work closely together with the companies of the DURAG Group, especially with the international DURAG sales and service organisation.”

AP2E’s solutions are based on an advanced laser gas technology and a patented sampling system for gas monitoring. These instruments offer a large measuring range with particularly high sensitivity, selectivity, stability and short response time for simple as well as complex gas mixtures. AP2E’s groundbreaking technology is widely used for the detection of industrial gases in a variety of industrial settings, such as in areas in need of continuous environmental monitoring, or to ensure workplace safety, quality control and also the optimisation of production processes. There are over 400 AP2E gas analysers in use across the globe, which includes mobile and online gas analysers, CEMS (continuous emission monitoring systems), process gas monitoring and gas purity controls.
