Alphasense recently took part in the UK’s Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons in London. The event brought a wide spectrum of leading UK companies together to promote and encourage environmental recovery and sustainability.
Steve Double, the UK’s Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Nature Recovery and the Domestic Environment, discussed the progress of the Environment Act as well as opportunities for closer collaboration between government and industry.
Will Parrett, Alphasense’s Sales and Marketing Director for EMEA commented: “It was great to see so many businesses in one place, all with the common goal of driving sustainability to create a cleaner world. In our case, air quality is the specific issue, and an area where our gas and particulate sensors play an essential role.”
Alphasense also supported both the Northern Air Quality News Conference in Manchester last May, and London’s upcoming National Air Quality News Conference, scheduled for November. Alphasense were recently acquired by AMETEK Inc and are now part of their Mocon business unit. The company has been developing and producing cutting edge sensors for industrial gas safety, air quality and environmental monitoring applications for more than 25 years.
