The MD8 Airscan and AirPort MD8 from Sartorius Stedim Biotech (UK) offer fast and reliable microbial air monitoring for production and QC environments.

Ideal for the Pharmaceutical QC/QA applications, the MD8 Airscan (FDA accepted methodology) with gelatin membrane filters constitutes an accurate, reproducible and quantitative air sampling system without the compromise of sterility or disturbance of laminar-flow in isolators or clean rooms. Isokinetic sampling and constant air throughput ensures 1 cubic metre of air is sampled in a short time. The gelatin membranes are highly retentive and protect the collected microorganisms from desiccation. The Airscan remote head option allows for single time-point or continuous monitoring in critical areas without risk of particle generation.

The portable AirPort sampler is optimized for use with both the gelatin membrane filters, and the agar plate impaction methods, where the sterile plates function directly as the collection head, eliminating the need for sanitization of the sampling head.

Both air samplers are easily calibrated onsite, have adjustable air throughput, and a small footprint, and with minimal handling the risks of secondary contamination are greatly reduced.

MD8 Airscan and AirPort MD8: the most flexible and reliable microbial monitoring available.
