A camera will be used to capture the construction of a
wastewater treatment solution plant.
Sesys has been chosen to supply technology to record the £74 million upgrade of the Davyhulme United Utilities site in Manchester.
The process will see the plant generate more electricity from biogas, as well as a sustainable soil improvement product.
Davyhulme is one of the largest treatment facilities in Europe and serves 1.2 million people who live in and around the north-west city.
Sesys' camera solution will allow United Utilities staff to view the water treatment works remotely.
"This can help to reduce journeys, contributing to its position as a sustainable and environmentally-responsible company," a spokesman for Sesys said.
Ian Barker, chief electrical engineer for engineering firm Black & Veatch which constructed the new water treatment process, added that Sesys' Mobotix cameras record "high-quality images in a system that has proved extremely reliable without requiring lots of unnecessary IT equipment on site".
