Portable Analyser for Emissions Monitoring

Pollution S.r.l. (Italy) manufactures a fully portable heated Polaris FID analyser, a cutting-edge technology for TOC measurement in stack emission monitoring and ambient air. Polaris FID has been awarded the Product Conformity rating from TÜV Rheinland in accordance with EN 13526 and EN 12619.

Polaris FID has been designed and developed to be a very compact, ergonomic and handy case (less than 14 Kg) contaning all that is needed for analysis: a span gas cylinder for calibration and technical air cylinder for high accuracy and precision, batteries, a hydrogen cartridge and activated charcoal filter to fuel the flame.

The compact, rechargeable, bullet-proof hydrogen storage cartridge is integrated into the instrument and self-desorbs the hydrogen fuel to the flame detector at appropriate pressure and flow. It is very safe and does not require pressure regulators and supply hydrogen for 30 hours for continuous analysis.

The miniaturisation of the flame ionisation detector and volumetric sampling system results in outstanding energy savings and thus allows the use of built-in rechargeable batteries.

The overall equipment is resistant to high temperatures and humidity, allowing it to cope with a typical stack emission situation, but it is also suited to carrying out environmental screening and is perfect as a portable, efficient solution to monitoring needs in intense environments.

There is also a range of accessories to ensure the Polaris FID is kitted out for each customer’s precise needs. These include sampling probes and heated lines, additional external battery charger, carrying case, double shoulder strap (for use as front bag), external Zero air and Span gas cylinders, as well as an extra H2 accumulator and filters.
