Gasmet Technologies (Finland), a leading manufacturer of gas monitoring instruments and systems, has announced a wide range of developments that further improve its range of FTIR analysers. At the same time, the company launched a completely new website.

The launch took place during September at a beach-side hotel in Helsinki, Finland, and invited guests included key staff from Gasmet’s European subsidiaries and distributors.

Rami Vuorinen outlined the developments that have enhanced Gasmet’s FTIR analyser, which forms the core of many of the company’s stack emissions analysers, process analysers and ambient air quality monitoring instruments. “Work to increase analytical performance by optimising various parts of the measurement process has been extremely successful,” he explained, “by identifying the bottlenecks in previous design, we have been able to improve sensitivity a great deal.”

Further improvements have also been made to the Gasmet stationary sampling system for hot wet gases in stack emissions and industrial processes. These improvements have improved serviceability and extended reliability.

Several new process applications were presented during the meeting, and a new photocatalyst measurement system for pigment and paint applications was launched.

Gasmet’s new website has been designed to offer customers faster, easier access to a more comprehensive knowledge base. Users will find it much easier to find product information and application specific advice.
