CEMS
Renova, one of Sweden’s top waste management companies, has long trusted Gasmet for monitoring solutions. With a plant that processes 550,000 tons of waste per year to provide electricity and district heating for Gothenburg, Renova must continually monitor emissions to meet EU regulations.
In 2020, with new environmental regulations in place, Renova needed to ensure precise dioxin emissions tracking at their waste-to-energy plant. To meet these strict requirements, they chose Gasmet’s advanced GT90 Dioxin+ system.
This wasn’t their first experience with Gasmet. Since 2021, Renova has been successfully using Gasmet’s CMM systems to monitor mercury emissions, ensuring compliance with environmental standards while optimizing their waste-to-energy processes.
With a plant that processes 550,000 tons of waste per year to provide electricity and district heating for Gothenburg, Renova must continually monitor emissions to meet EU regulations. Any disruption could impact thousands of households during the cold winter months.
Renova relies on Gasmet’s reliable, easy-to-maintain monitoring systems to ensure compliance and avoid system downtime. Alnab, Gasmet’s Swedish partner, installed the equipment, trained Renova’s staff, and provides ongoing support. Renova staff even visited Gasmet’s headquarters in Finland for comprehensive training.
Pontus Gimfalk, Renova’s electrical manager, stated, “We are very satisfied with Gasmet’s equipment, and we get support whenever we need it.”
