Gas Analysis and Sensing Group (GASG) hosted a successful meeting at Bletchley Park which provided a wide-ranging view of how materials continue to advance gas detection capabilities. Among the topics covered during ‘Gas Sensor Materials - Cracking the Code’ were MEMs-based sensors for detection of explosive gases, gas sensors made by flame spray pyrolysis, and conducting polymer breath ammonia measurement.

The presenters offered captivating insights into materials development and its impact on sensors, with attendees gaining valuable knowledge from their informative talks.

The day was further enhanced by tours of the Bletchley Park facilities led by experienced guides who gave enlightening insights to the critical work undertaken at the establishment over many years. Together with the usual opportunities for interaction with fellow attendees, the event continued the tradition of enjoyable and productive GASG meetings
