Prosense’s ATEX approved "PQ" series of fixed gas detectors are designed and developed according to the demanding conditions found in industrial plants in order to carry out continuous measurement of toxic and explosive gases in the air.
These highly robust detectors offer measurement stability, target gas measurement and accuracy because of their sensors, which are designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions.
The PQ series is divided in to the PQN and PQD detectors, which feature an OLED display, to provide the best solution for developing industry conditions and customer demands.
PQ fixed gas detectors offer the best solution for LEL and ppm measurements using pellistor, infrared, electrochemical sensors. These instruments offer the operator instant and up to date details of the status and ambient conditions of the targeted gas via the OLED display on the simple to use software, who can be easily adjusted. The PQD’s SH30 stainless steel sensor head enables a superb performance under harsh environmental conditions. 4-20mA and RS485 (Modbus RTU) outputs are simple to operate by connecting to Prosense gas detection panels or a suitable PLC. These detectors can operate with optional P-3R relay cards and 3 dry contact relay outputs. Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 relays are easy to set to default LEL or ppm levels. The third dry contact relay output is used for fault status.
PQ gas detectors can be safely used in potentially explosive atmospheres thanks to the ATEX certification and EN 60079-29-1 performance test with the IP-65 protection class, which can be used safely in harsh outdoor conditions. With the optional P-IP66, these instruments can still withstand and operate even in the path of heavy jets of water.
