An accurate measurement of a gas concentration involves several factors such as sampling, measurement technique, analyser, operator and calibration. CO2 taxes and regulations oblige power plants and incinerator owners to regularly measure and calibrate the emissions of their installations.
In some cases, very high accuracy is required and the precision of gas measurement is a crucial point. In order to fulfil the various standards, the Sonimix 2106 gas mixer, from LNI Swissgas, is the essential tool. It is built according the ISO 6145/6 standard and the sonic nozzle principle makes it the most accurate and stable device on the market and provides superior metrological performances: uncertainty and repeatability exceed 0.5%, for the dilution range of the device. It generates binary mixtures from 0 to 100% in fixed steps in a purely mechanical process without electronic regulation and without any influence from ambient pressure or temperature.
As recommended, metrological performances should be certified in ISO 17025 laboratories. LNI Swissgas is ISO 17025 is accredited and complete calibration process and report are provided, not only for new devices, but across its whole lifetime. Reports verify the excellent performance of calibrators with sonic nozzles.
