Gas Detection Instrument Manufacturer Targets Growth in South Asia with Appointment of Distributors in Bangladesh

Leading manufacturer of gas detection instrumentation for occupational health and environmental protection, Ion Science (UK), is targeting further growth in South Asia with the appointment of two Bangladeshi-based distributors.

Following a successful road trip through the country by KS Chari, Ion Science South Asia representative based in India, the company has appointed Seasafe (Tristar Group) located in Chittagong and Dhaka-based Labcom Technology. The companies will primarily target the refining and fertiliser industries and also help increase awareness of Ion Science products amongst government institutions.

Both businesses will sell and support the Ion Science Tiger, Tiger Select, Cub, TVOC, TITAN, GasCheck and Mercury Vapour Indicator. Tristar will also promote the Hydrosteel hydrogen flux monitor as they have extensive refinery experience.

During the Bangladesh trip, Seasafe took KS Chari to prospective customers where he gave presentations and demonstrations of the Tiger.

Labcom Technology organised a seminar and demonstration at the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI) near Dhaka. The event was attended by scientists and chemists from the Institute and fertiliser industries. TICI is the Central Training Institute of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC).
