Industrial Scientific (USA), global specialist in Gas Detection as a Service, announced today that the recent and continued growth of the company’s portable gas detection business has led to more than 40 job openings being posted.

The open positions, many of which are at the company’s headquarters near Pittsburgh, range in functions including customer service, engineering, manufacturing, product management, service operations, software development, supply chain, and more. Interested applicants should visit www.indsci.com/careers to view the complete listing of openings and apply online.

“We are excited by this recruiting effort and the opportunity it brings to further strengthen our ability to serve our customers,” said Harry Griffith, vice president of people & leadership. “We are looking for candidates who will positively contribute to our thriving corporate culture during this period of growth and beyond, and also have a history of excellent performance.”

Industrial Scientific was recently named one of Pittsburgh’s 100 fastest-growing companies. The Pittsburgh 100 list is published annually by the Pittsburgh Business Times and includes the region’s fastest-growing private companies, based on sales growth between 2009 and 2011.

The company’s recent growth can be attributed to iNet – Industrial Scientific’s Gas Detection as a Service solution. iNet is a software-based service that solves common challenges faced in gas detection programs related to the maintenance of gas detector fleets and the lack of visibility into instrument alarms, exposure and usage. Today, there are more than 70,000 gas monitors operating on iNet at worksites around the world.
