Gas Detection

Introducing the new triple gas analyser from Cambridge Sensotec - the Rapidox 3100EAB.

Jun 06 2012

Cambridge Sensotec is proud to release our latest multigas product, the Rapidox 3100EAB. The Rapidox 3100EAB is a multi-gas analyser for measuring O2, CO2 and CO simultaneously. The analyser allows accurate analysis over the oxygen range 0 to 100% O2 with a resolution of 0.01%, CO2 and CO ranges are selectable at time of purchase. The Rapidox 3100EAB analyser provides continuous on-line gas analysis, with a typical response time of less than 20 seconds for a 90% step change in O2 compositions and approximately 30 seconds for a 90% step change in CO2 and CO compositions.

The analyser contains a powerful Nitto motor-driven diaphragm vacuum pump which draws a gas sample at a rate that can be set by the user. The flow of gas can be adjusted using the flow gauge/needle valve on the front panel of the analyser. Typical flow rate is 1 litre per minute. Alternatively the pump can be independently switched off and operated under flowing gas conditions. An internal pressure sensor compensates for small changes in gas pressure to maintain the accuracy of readings.

The oxygen sensor is a Yuasa electrochemical O2 sensor, which has a five year life expectancy and can be used in a wide range of gases such as nitrogen, argon, helium and carbon dioxide. The sensor is not affected by the presence of hydrocarbons.

The CO2 and CO sensors are based on infra-red cell technology which gives extremely stable and accurate readings over a period of many years. The cells are supplied fully calibrated. The analyser is packed with features including programmable alarm circuits, programmable analogue outputs, RS232 communications and complete communications / data logging software. The Rapidox 3100EAB is also easily calibrated with user selectable gases.
