2025 CEM International Conference and Exhibition on Air Quality and Emissions Monitoring

01 Sep, 2025

Scheduled for September 24-26, 2025, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the 16th CEM International Conference and Exhibition on Air Quality and Emissions Monitoring will this year run alongside the 4th IMM Industrial Methane Measurement Conference. This meeting will explore innovations, regulatory updates, and best practices in measuring and monitoring industrial emissions, Air Quality, and methane. Given the global push towards achieving Net Zero Emissions, this year’s conference is particularly timely and relevant.

An extensive conference programme will feature a diverse range of subjects covering a wide range of topics which reflects the complex nature of modern air monitoring challenges. Key themes include the monitoring of new and emerging pollutants which will address the urgent need to track substances not previously regulated. The programme will also detail the importance of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and the integration of advanced technologies like the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for predictive emission monitoring.

Attendees will see presentations on current and future regulation, quality and standards, innovative measurement technologies, including those for gaseous species at low concentrations and biogenic carbon measurement.

Key Sessions and Technical Discussions

The program is structured to provide deep dives into specialised areas. A keynote address will open the conference, focusing on the latest regulatory changes and their implications for the industry. Subsequent sessions will cover topics such as calibration and quality assurance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of monitoring data. There will be discussions on the use of portable and remote sensing technologies for both stack and ambient air monitoring, showcasing how these flexible tools are changing the landscape of environmental compliance.

A dedicated session will explore the monitoring of particulates, including ultrafine particles and black carbon, which are of increasing concern for public health. The conference will also feature presentations on the monitoring of trace elements, particularly mercury, and sessions on flue gas monitoring in various industrial processes. The final day will include a workshop on the implementation of new standards and a closing panel discussion on the future of air quality monitoring.

Networking and Industry Innovation

The CEM and IMM exhibition will bring together leading equipment and service suppliers from around the world. Attendees are encouraged to network with exhibitors and their technical experts to discuss current and future project needs. For those who are unable to attend this event in Slovenia please watch out for our other CEM events scheduled in 2026. CEM India will take place in Delhi in March 2026 and CEM Asia will take place in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia in November 2026.
