Highly accurate air and gas velocity sensor for industrial applications

04 Feb, 2026

Developed and designed for demanding industrial applications, the AVS701 from E+E Elektronik sets a new standard in air and gas velocity measurement - proven to last up to 20 times longer in harsh environments. Maximum efficiency and process reliability are ensured through highly accurate measurements, simple installation with an integrated sensor positioning, and a process gas library. The optional external pressure sensor compensates for variations in ambient pressure. Thanks to its robust ceramic sensing element protected by a stainless-steel probe head and a specialized coating, the AVS701 delivers stable measurement results even under corrosive and extreme conditions, significantly reducing downtime and lifecycle costs.

The optically and technically redesigned air and gas velocity sensor excels in accuracy, reliability, and simplified installation. Optimized for demanding industrial applications with a measurement range from 0 to 40 m/s and temperatures from -40 to +140°C, it is suitable for a wide range of uses – from pharmaceutical production to process monitoring in 3D printing. Efficiency increases in process costs and quicker setup times by 60% make the AVS701 the best choice in its performance class.

The system enables up to 60% quicker sensor setup through accurate sensor positioning and automatically captures the operating flow to ensure reliable measurement results. Efficiency is increased thanks to the highest level of measurement accuracy, while dependable performance is maintained even in the harshest environments, where it has been proven to last up to 20 times longer. In addition, intelligent gas adjustment delivers significant time savings during operation.

"The AVS701 delivers precision and reliability in air and gas flow measurement. With state-of-the-art thin-film ceramic technology, a robust design, and effortless installation, it is the ideal solution for the most demanding industrial environments," commented Martin Lengauer, Product Manager at E+E Elektronik.
