‘Nose for Success’ Showcased at Two Leading Industry Events

Enviro Technology (UK), specialist air quality monitoring specialists, will be showcasing some of their ground-breaking technologies, including new ‘electronic nose’ technology for waste odour monitoring, at two key industry events next week.

The Resource Efficiency Waste Management Solutions (RWM) event at Birmingham’s NEC on the 11th-13th September and the Water, Sewage and Waste (WSW) exhibition on the 13th of September at the Matford centre in Exeter will be the venues for some of the most advanced air quality monitoring technology available, including the RQ Box electronic nose.

With odour pollution an area of growing serious concern in the global biological waste treatment industry, the pioneering RQ Box electronic nose enables more effective monitoring and management of the odours that are a natural by-product of the waste management process.

Providing scientifically-sound measurement on a 24/7 basis, the technology can underpin strategies to ensure odours are kept at an acceptable level. By sensing smells and raising an alert before they cause human discomfort, it triggers odour control activity at an early stage. It can also facilitate predictive analysis by identifying internal and external factors (such as weather conditions) which can indicate when nuisance odours are likely to occur.

RWM attendees will also be introduced to a new electronic nose system called ‘Dry & Dilute’ which has been specifically designed to monitor odours from channelled sources, such as bio-filters or scrubbers, when gases are saturated in humidity or concentrated.

All RWM and WSW delegates will have the opportunity to meet ET’s team of air quality monitoring experts who will be on hand to showcase other innovative equipment including Kitagawa Gas Detection Tubes – the very latest in portable gas detection equipment providing a complete sampling and analysis system for detecting hazardous gases and vapours on the spot.

In addition, the ET team will present its new state-of-the-art Formaldehyde Monitor – the GrayWolf FM-801. As concerns continue to escalate about the adverse effects of workers’ exposure to formaldehyde, it is more important than ever to be able to quickly and accurately measure formaldehyde levels in offices, buildings (including new builds), factories and industry plants and the GrayWolf FM-801 enables businesses and organisations to do just that.
