A New Dimension in Protective Equipment Full Protection Against Dirt, Dust and Biological Agents

Uvex (UK) has just launched three new products in a brand new line of highperformance disposable coveralls that scale new heights in protection standards, uvex sil-Wear.

This highly original range of coveralls, which was on show at Health & Safety 09, can be used in a diverse range of applications, including industrial cleaning, work with paints, varnish and chemicals, and also in environments containing hazardous biological agents. It offers highly functional protective equipment including disposable suits to protect against dirt and dust, and special protective equipment to shield against viruses and bacteria. Ergonomic designs, ultrasonically-sealed seams and clever features, such as an innovative velcro system for secure attachment of the hood and filtering face mask, ensure optimum comfort.

The uvex sil-Wear type 3B ensures a highly protective barrier against biological agents and a wide range of chemicals. Its AgPURE™ active layer, which is activated by normal humidity levels, provides surfaces with a

bacteriostatic coating to protect them against bacteria, fungi and viruses, reducing the growth of existing microorganisms by almost 100%.

The uvex sil-Wear Type 3 also protects against a wide range of chemicals. It features a two layered zipper flap with velcro and adhesive tapes for optimum safety at the critical points and a system for attaching the

mask for optimum face coverage. The hood is ajustable for individual needs in any situation.

The uvex sil-Wear Type 5/6 is made of breathable, light polyethylene laminate that provides a high level of moisture management and

breathability without reducing protection. The bound seams ensure a high level of protection against liquid splashes and solid particles. The hood is highly compatible with a filtering face mask, while middle-finger loops
