Using a high resolution colour TFT display, the CEL-600 series is specifically designed to ensure taking noise measurements is quick and easy. Different models are available depending on your requirements for use in general workplace noise measurements, up to full industrial hygiene requirements where octave band analysis is required for the effective selection of hearing protection.
The CEL-620B model is an integrating sound level meter, which means it measures average (Leq and Lavg) in order to calculate daily noise exposure levels. It also similtaneously measures peak noise levels for comparison for with peak action levels. Simultaneous measurements of C and A weighted sound levels are also performed, used for the selection of hearing protection by the HML method.
The CEL-620B has all the features of the CEL-620A, but also measures octave bands in real-time from 16Hz to 16KHz, all without the need for any measurement range adjustment. This feature can be used for the selection of hearing protection via the octave band method
