Plans for Four Fold Growth by 2018

Casella (UK), global specialist in occupational health and environmental risk management solutions, has revealed ambitious four fold growth plans over the next five years. It has also indicated that acquisitions are a real possibility in a bid to significantly boost market share by 2018.

As part of its growth strategy, Casella will be focusing on developing its noise and dust monitoring solutions for the Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Pharmaceutical, Public Sector and Consultancy sectors. Key target territories are set to include the UK, USA, India and China where the company has a direct presence.

Ben Henson, General Manager at Casella says: “We have spent the past 18 months reviewing the business, its products, processes and people, as well as conducting market research and gathering intelligence. Casella is a stable, highly technical organisation with over 200 years of history and great brand recognition, but it became evident that there was an opportunity for significant growth in both existing and previously untapped sectors and territories.

“Although we will continue to sell and support ancillary products, we have streamlined our portfolio to focus on core noise and dust monitoring competencies. Investing in R&D, being more application focused and developing key accounts across our seven target sectors will ensure we meet and exceed our five-year growth plan and propel Casella to ever greater success.”

Ben concludes: “Although we are looking for significant organic growth, we have not ruled out making acquisitions in the future. It is too early to be specific on targets although businesses that complement our offering and are a good cultural fit would make sense.”
