s::can GmbH is thrilled to announce that it has been acquired by Badger Meter, Inc. Founded in 1905, Badger Meter is a Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA-based innovator in flow measurement, control and communication solutions serving water utilities, municipalities and commercial and industrial customers worldwide.

For more than 20 years, s::can has worked to build a business and brand that represents innovation, simple solutions and value by providing online, real-time water quality monitoring. With the pending retirement of founder, Andreas Weingartner, s::can looked to partner with a leading organisation with a shared innovative culture and commitment to environmental solutions. It was clear Badger Meter was the right fit.

The entire s::can staff is now part of the Badger Meter organisation, but on a day-to-day basis, it is business as usual. A s::can management team, consisting of 4 experienced s::can managers, will take over the agendas of former owner and CEO Andreas Weingartner. The head office of s::can remains in Vienna, Austria and the sales offices spanning North America, Europe and Asia will continue operating. s::can will be working with the world-class Badger Meter team on delivering a wider-range of products and solutions to their well-established customers in the markets they serve. This access to expanded resources and capabilities will bring additional value for all s::can customers around the world.
