MCERTS awarded for Praxis

Sep 06 2022

Four years of colocation with reference instruments results in South Coast Science’s unique sensor correction algorithm and best-in-class precision.

Because no mandatory product testing exists, it is sometimes difficult for customers to verify claims made by manufacturers. However, the achievement of MCERTS certification provides independent verification that the automatic correction process works extremely well, and not only is it effective for PM but works equally well for gas sensor data, but what does MCERTS mean for customers?

The certification process measures the performance of the device, so customers can be confident that data output is traceable to UK and European standards. Achieving MCERTS certification provides independent verification of device performance, giving assurance to customers about the data quality they can expect.

Significantly, the onboard correction process means that these devices do not require the use of heated air inlets. This results in low-powered lightweight instruments (Praxis/Urban is only 4kg and Praxis/OPCube 2kg), making them very easy to handle and deploy.
