At our recent Air Quality and Emissions event, Professor Paul Linden of the University of Cambridge discussed recent research into the relationship between the transmission of COVID-19 and indoor air quality.

Professor Linden’s 15-minute talk addresses:

  • Contemporary modelling of airborne transmission in epidemiology
  • The ratio between number of occupants and infection
  • Managing the likelihood of secondary infections
  • The nature of seasonal variation in transmission
  • How schools, hospitals and workplaces may act on these findings

In 1972, Professor Paul Linden received his PhD from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Physics. Since 2014, Professor Linden has served as the Director of Research for the Department.
